Das Städtchen Grad hat seine Entstehung in der Römerzeit. Es war der Haupthafen des unweiten Aquileia, damals wichtige römische Handelskolonie. Wenn man durch die Gässchen unserer “Sonneninsel” (wie sie auch genannt wird), spaziert, kann man auch heute noch ihre Geschichtsträchtigkeit einatmen. Bereichert wird unser wunderbares Städtchen noch von der beeindruckenden Lagune die es umrundet.
